Determining which class you need-
One of the first steps to proper education is knowing what you need. Below are the descriptions of each course and some examples of who would need them.
Heath Care Provider- provides training on adult, child, and infant CPR; AM BU Bag training; adult, child, and infant choking; AED training. Also known as BLS Training. Ex: nurses, nursing students, doctors, and other medical professionals.
First Aid- provides training on environmental emergencies and many common situations that happen in the workplace or around children. Ex: daycare workers, girl scouts, or designated first responders.
Heart saver CPR- provides training on adult, child, and infant CPR; adult, child, and infant choking. This is the most basic form of CPR. Also known as First Responders CPR Training or Layperson CPR Training. Ex: teachers, new mothers, anyone wanting training NOT in a health care field.
AED Training- AED training is training on a Automatic Electronic Defibrillator machine. The one used in training is only a trainer NOT a real AED. AED's are becoming increasingly popular; especially on ISD campuses. Each student is welcome to add this to their course.
Single Student Class v. Group Class-
For Single Student classes, you will be getting a one on one training with your instructor. It can vary in time depending on what course you need as well as how many questions you need answered.
For Group Classes, HeartStart Co. tries to keep it as hands-on as we can by making sure each student in the group understands the core concepts of the class. Because we are committed to quality we will accommodate your group to the best of our ability to ensure the best situation for the students and instructor.
